Welcome. I am Dr. Bill Kooistra, and I am a fully licensed Psychologist working in Grand Haven, Michigan. I have been providing psychotherapy for over twenty years to adults, adolescents, couples, and families. I provide confidential treatment addressing a wide variety of psychological issues and concerns (see services below).
My approach to psychotherapy draws from a variety of theories and models that seek growth and healing for the mind, body, and spirit. I intend for therapy to assist people in finding relief from psychological symptoms and struggles as well as developing a greater sense of meaning and engagement in their lives.

My office is located in a historic building in downtown Grand Haven with windows overlooking the Grand River and wooded sand dunes. I serve clients residing throughout West Michigan including the Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Muskegon, Holland, Saugatuck, and greater Grand Rapids areas.

The office is located on the third floor of the Harbourfront Place building - sometimes referred to as the "Piano Factory" - on the northeast corner of Washington Ave. and Harbor Dr. There is a large parking lot on the west side of the building. In the center of the building there is an elevator and a large stairway. On the third floor, turn left from the stairway (or right from the elevator) and pass through the double doors. Follow the long hallway to suite 365 - the fourth door on the right after the double doors.
